Organically Modified was founded in 2003 by Chasney Maturine and started out as a monthly acoustic jam in the garden of the Handbag Cafe in Wood Green as a means for local musicians, singers, rappers and poets to perform for the public to prepare them for bigger stages.
After a very successful four year run Organically Modified moved to the Roundhouse for a six month residency which was a massive achievement considering the Roundhouse's hectic schedule.
Being at the Roundhouse gave Organically Modified the room it needed to grow, the callibre of performers went up as did the overall quality from begining to end. Every show featured an industry standard headline act, DJ and guest host.
This successful run at the Roundhouse featured acclaimed performances from artists such as Ndubz, Bashy, Eska, Blak Twang and Ghetts.
What makes Organically Modified stand out as a live music showcase is that its never been afraid to show an ecclectic array of artist in genres ranging from jazz, soul, dance, reggaton etc...
The Organically Modified audience keeps an open mind and a love for good quality music and performance.
