London Songwriters Week features a series of events leading up to the Ivor Novello Awards, highlighting the importance of songwriters and composers to the music industry.

Regardless of the somewhat tumultuous state of the wider music industry, there will always be songs broadcast and there will always be songwriters producing them. Songwriters are the creative heart of the music industry.

The week will consist of free events and workshops which will  inspire, educate and entertain the audiences.  As well as being an enjoyable series of events, London Songwriters Week will also help raise the profile of songwriting and songwriters in the UK and providing opportunities for networking and development.

Record Royalties for Musicians.

Income from social networking sites, mobile ringtones and a booming live music industry all contributed to a record royalty payout for UK Musicians this quarter.
